Are you planning to live at home after uni or rent or buy somewhere?
I live at home because I want to save to buy a house. I don't want to rent as I feel I won't be getting anything out of it in the end. I lived away from home when I was at uni, so that was a good experience and will be for when I get my own place!
What are your thoughts? |

The plan for me is to return home until I find a job that takes me elsewhere. What is point of paying rent when on the hunt for a job and unsure where will end up living anyway? |

Renting is money down the drain IMO...best to save, pay off as much of your loan as you can and find somewhere to buy later on. That's what I am doing, |

If your parents can put up with you, and vice versa. And you don't feel like its holding you back in anyway, then living at home, and saving as much as you can is the best way to go! |

I think I am going to have to rent now. I wanted to buy, but I can't afford to do that by myself, and I want to move closer to where I work. So renting may be the only option for now... |

Indeed! I get on well with my family so it's no problem me staying at home while I try and find my ideal career. When I've found something I love, I'll be prepared to move closer to the area to cut any potentially long commute. |

I lived at home whilst I carried out my degree so there is little difference there. I shall be staying here till I get a half decent job and obtain some savings towards a deposit maybe? I wouldn't really want to rent, it's money down the drain, it's more expensive to rent then to pay a mortgage these days, especially in the long term!!
