I have been contemplating the forthcoming year after graduating just over a month ago and realised that I am not ready to give up my freedom for a full time job just yet. However, none of my friends want to go travelling/want to do the same as me. Is it crazy to spend a year travelling around on my own? |

I don't think its crazy, but you really have to work out the details and probably take a close look at yourself and whether you would be comfortable with that. I've contemplated it myself and two of my (female) friends have done it. If you go to popular backpacking destinations its quite easy to meet up with other travellers and tag along for a while. Just be wise and research the areas you want to visit.

I would say there is no harm in going alone, from my own travelling experiences - there were always lots of people to meet along the way and sometimes the friend that I went with and I ended up heading in different directions and meeting up again afterwards. I would think about the intentions and destinations and then decide :) |

I would not like to travel alone as I would feel unsafe, but doesn't mean to say it's not a perfectly feasible option, I know several people who've done it themselves and had a great time. I think with things like this you can only decide yourself whether it's right for you, you know yourself better than anyone else! |
