Hi,

I recently had a telephone interview for the BAA position at Arcadia and was wondering if anyone else has had one? How long does it take for them to contact you to let you know if you were successful?

Hey, I've never had a telephone interview with Arcadia, but the telephone interviews I have had can some times take up to 2 or 3 weeks, although one company did get back to me about two hours after the telephone interview for a face to face.  If you have waited for longer than 10 days id give them a call and try and chase them up.

I'm not to sure if you have had your interview already but I thought I would let you know what sort of questions they ask. They expect you to be up-to-date with current fashion trends and future trends.They will also ask you to describe your understanding of the role and what you think it entails. I suggest you do loads of research on the current issues that the retail industry are experiencing and reading fashion magazines really helps.

Thank you so much for ur reply. I already had my tele interview last week, and they said they will get back to me after 5 working days... I kind of prepared about trends and job roles..etc..

but I guess I was quite nervous.. and didn't quite answer well enough..huh..well..haha

Hi, i have a telephone interview with arcadia some time this week for a Merchandise Administration Assistant role.. has anyone had one for this or have an idea of the kinds of things they may ask or expect me to know?

I've got an email response from Arcadia for a telephone interview too for graduate assistant merchadiser. I'm still in the process of doing my research before i make the call. I also need to get an idea of what type of questions they're going to ask just so I'm prepared. Any help with really be appreciated!

hey everyone, im just making an enquiry, i have already had a phone interview and an assesment centre with arcadia. when i was there they said that i would know between 5 to ten workings days if i was succesful or not and today is the tenth working day. im just wondering if they get in contact with you if you are successful or not? or do they just contact the people that are? id really appreciate it if anyone has an experience with this , thankyou :)

Hey Sheznay (and anyone else who may have experienced this) my friend was contacted even though he was unsuccessful so i guess right now for you, no news is good news. Which job role did you apply for? I have my assessment day for the MAA role in a couple of weeks and i wanted to know what the group exericse was like and is the maths test hard? Im really nervous!! hey bhav- i have a telephone interview with arcadia too this week for the logistics role. any interview qus you had would be a great help. i thawt i was prepared, but now im not so sure :/

Hi,

I dont think anyone can tell you exactly what kind of questions you will get. When I did phone interviews I prepared examples for every requirement they had. So, if they wanted a team player, I had an example of when I was a team-player. I always explain according to the STAR framework.

Also, update yourself on the latest news. I always check Reuters in the morning to stay informed. And always prepare questions for them!

I just had a phone interview today.I'm sure there will be variety in the questions they asked me were:

What problems does Arcadia face? (As feedback they suggested i should also have talked about the price of cotton and labour as well as the recession)

What do I think my role will entail?

Can you give an example of when I had to a) analyse data b)bring a person round to my way of thinking

What do I think Arcadia has to offer me?

They also asked about my course, how I got on, why I chose what I did and what I liked.

The lady that gave me the interview was very nice and friendly, and they let me know as sstraight after the interview that I had got through to the assesment day. Also they asked me about my CV so make sure you have it in front of you.
