I managed to eventually get a pass degree (maths n physics) a couple of years back and had at the time given up hope of getting onto a graduate scheme.
I have now moved onto sales and become extremely competant in that area, and I have a new found hunger to forge a proper career for myself. I feel that if I could just get past the application process I would steamroller any interview and competancy tests required.
Im wishing there was a search engine for 'degree level' too, as this would have sped up my search!
Any ideas what I can do....???
Thanks in advance,
Jon

http://www.prospects.ac.uk/ is a graduate carrer advice site, it should give you all the info you need to pursue your search.
Hope it helps - good luck!

A pass degree isn't worth the paper it's written on! Even with a 3rd class, or 2.2 class honours degree, you'll be stuggling to get on any sort of graduate training scheme - they all now demand a 2.1 or 1st with at least 300 UCAS points at A level.
Your only hope is to go into teaching 'by the back door', ie do a part-time Certificate in Education at your local FE College (non-honours degree - or no degree at all required). Perhaps a graduate-level sales job might also be a possibility - not for the feint-hearted or camera-shy, though - a lot don't 'make the grade' and don't last long - but graduate sales jobs seem to be the only ones left unfilled at this time of the year - unless you have a pass degree in something highly specialised like dentistry or something!

There will be in Sales. In most sales roles it's the experience and not the degree that matters, so if I were you I would focus on building up your work experience in sales roles. That said, I wouldn't hope too much on getting on a grad scheme. I think your best bet it getting into sales from more of an entry level position and then working your socks off to progess. It is possible so don't give up. :D
