I just got my third rejection in as many weeks, I believe that I am doing something wrong in the interview room.  How do I go about pressing for more detailed feedback.  I did call and ask for some and just got that they liked me but thought the other candidate was more suited to the position.  I want to know why, or even how I can make myself more suitable.  ANy suggestions of how to go about this?

Hi Kite,

When asking for feed back ensure you speak to the HR manager first as they will be able to give you the feedback you require.  At most interviews a person will have to match certain criteria (this willl generally have been shown in the job spec that you have) and so you will have to meet this to obtain the role.  When being interviewed there wil be a record kept of your interview that you could always ask to see or at least feedback can be given from.

As for the interview themselves, always liten to the questions being asked closely.  They are being asked for specific reasons and normally will be heavily related to the role you are applying for.  Think how the questions may relate to the role and what the interviewer wants from you and what they are asking.  Remember to be clear and confident when you speak and be positive with what you say!
