Manufacturing and engineering roles have increased for the first time since October.
According to Recruiter the need for shops and companies to begin to restock has provemain impetus behind this.
As companies have been afraid to have cash stuck in stock, cupboards have gone bare. So new orders are beginning to come through to replenish stock and more staff are required; from manufacturing directors to production staff. It is hoped this will be the start of rejuvenation in these industries.
Dean Ball, regional managing director of Michael Page Manufacturing told Recruiter: "Companies that have destocked have such low stocks that they need to reorder, and our orders have increased accordingly. I don't think we are necessarily seeing green shoots but because of the restocking things are slowly grinding into motion. It's going to be very interesting to see if this is a continuing trend."
